Why did my corvette get slower ?

I have a 1991 Chevy Corvette and I installed a Hypertech computer chip in it to add horsepower but now it seems like it is slower and has less torque. Why is this ?

I really dont like those chips,they only add on your program cpu…not reprogram It.It probably took away some torque in the prosses of trying to get more horsepower by messing with air fuel ratios,or something of that matter.If you really want a solid running cpu.You have to get it flashed with the proper requirments in a tune session.
